TWEAKS TO REDUCE LAGS & SLOWDOWNS

For those who have awful lag in BM or OC because of rain (BM) or high grass (OC).

Does this patch makes non lag,or it change my graphic too on the map(BM,OC) ?

I saw this on the RFe forum and it really works. When you have low FPS while playing RF, open your Windows Media Player. This will give you an extra 10-15 FPS. As simple as that, and it really works (for me and many other guys).

Use FRAPS so you can see the difference. It gives me at least an increase of 10 fps.

I was in VC and my frames go down to 20-30 per sec and after I opend the WMP I got 60 fps which is max I think. And it feels much better after I opend the WMP ^^

So i will do the "fix" from now on always and I realy want to know why the open WMP can help a RPG online game xD

For those of you that lag badly while playing you should try this (if you haven't already):

1. Make a copy of your current RF_Online.bin
2. Download this: Rapidshare
or 2shared
3.Replace the new RF_Online.bin with your current one

hmm, i noted a few less lag, nothing major though...

Well i guess x is my savior bcz this thing cleared my rollback lagg DC shyt... so i guess if it wasn´t for x i wouldn`t be even online past these few days... anyway it works very good no lagging and DC`ing with it...

it probably affects the RF graphics engine in some way, ill have to test this when i get home.

Its just a fix for windows XP with the media player. Under Vista/ 7 u dont need that fix

Sette D.: No sand storms, and meaby some plants like grass,
Cauldron(VC): No fog and bat's in caves, less particless flying in the air (still need to work on this one)
Crag Mine: No plants (feaw types of grass), fog near core, steam and still need to work on particless droping down from sky =.="
BM: No rain, fog, grass and feaw more things,
OC: No grass, particless in air, bugs flying around,
